At Finisterra we believe that educational travel is an intrinsic component of every young person’s development. International travel is an education; it opens minds, inspires, challenges preconceptions, and develops social skills. Travel Consultations
For the independent traveller who loves the planning process but may need a bit of guidance, Finisterra Travel offers 45-60 minute travel consultations with a destination specialist. Reserve a consult either in the planning stages or have us review your final itinerary in order to enhance your itinerary. Having travelled to all 7 continents, we can offer guidance that will save you days of planning!

The trip far exceeded my expectations in every respect. The planning, hotels, locales, the guides and the first-rate service. As older travelers, it’s such an added bonus to have the local travel company’s reps meet you at the airport in the location described. The folks also helped us get our bags checked in and pointed in the right direction. Each of the 3 vans we traveled into each site was clean, well air conditioned, equipped with water and wipes. Plus, all of the drivers were engaging and timely.One of the determining factors I weigh when choosing a travel company is the quality of its guides. Servet in Istanbul, Faruk in Cappadocia, Bayhan (sp), in Antalya and Suleyman in Pamukkale, Ephesus and Izmir were ALL outstanding.It’s difficult to discern which place I liked best, although the utter uniqueness of Cappadocia was enchanting. All of the cave dwellings, the underground cities, and the views were spectacular. Of course, Istanbul was mesmerizing. The underground Cistern stood out as well as the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The ancient city of Perge outside of Antalya was stunning.This was our 3rd trip put together by Finisterra and we look forward to planning our 4th!
Keri and Nicola put together a fantastic trip to Turkey for me and a friend. The Itinerary was perfect, hitting all the most interesting sites. The hotels that they chose for us were all excellent. They also arranged private drivers and tour guides that were just outstanding. The guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and were able to avoid the big tour crowds, allowing us to have a much more relaxed experience. This is the third big trip that Finisterra Travel has arranged for me and they have all been excellent. I highly recommend them!
We had the most incredible trip to Kenya and Tanzania thanks to Keri! She really listened to what we were hoping to get out of the trip and what our travel interests/vibes were. Our safari guides were excellent and the accommodations was memorable. It really was a trip of a lifetime and we can’t thank Finisterra and Keri enough for helping to make it happen.

Wonderful, wonderful surf trip to El Salvador with Finisterra! Every detail taken care of. We were super well looked after and had a terrific in-country experience. The Finisterra folks are knowledgeable, organized and FUN. This was my second trip with them and I will not hesitate to travel with them again!
The El Salvador Surf Camp was absolutely amazing! The whole process was easy, reliable, and seamless. Keri & Nicole are great communicators and answered all my pre-trip questions fast and thoroughly. They even recommended a ton of helpful info as we went a few days ahead of the camp. As for the camp itself, it is perfect. The rooms were lovely and big, the resort was beautiful, and the beach was so perfect. It was practically empty and the waves were perfect for beginners. The instructors were so helpful and the food was great. I HIGHLY recommend this experience, it's perfect for solo travelers, beginner surfers, and anyone looking for a great travel experience.
This has been the most exciting, authentic and magnificent trip of my life. Every detail of the trip has been very well-thought and taken into consideration. We had the kindest, most helpful and sweet driver for our trip, hotels -one more authentic and beautiful then the others. Places we visited were gorgeous. Tours were greatly organized.
