DAY 1: ARRIVAL – FINSE, NORWAY
Welcome to Norway! You will be met upon arrival at the Alta Airport and transferred safely to your accommodation for check-in. You’ll have some time to unpack and unwind before having a light meal, and departing on your first Northern Lights Hunt. Be sure to dress warmly to enjoy this Norway Winter Tour!

DAY 2: SNOWSHOEING, DOG-SLEDDING & ICE FISHING
This morning you’ll wake up and enjoy a tasty breakfast before departing on a full day of winter activities! You’ll start the day by snow-shoeing through a beautiful and peaceful pine forest surrounded by high mountains, and reach the wilderness camp where you’ll set up for ice fishing on a small lake. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch your lunch of freshly caught Arctic char. If the fish aren’t biting that day, not to worry, more food will be provided for lunch.
This afternoon, try your hand at the classic winter sport of dog-sledding. You’ll receive full instruction on how to get your dogs ready, and then the best part – meet the dogs! They’re always enthusiastic and ready for a run. Afterward, you’ll head back to your camp and grab some dinner before heading out again in search of the northern lights.

DAY 3: FJORD, WHALE SAFARI & FATBIKING
From late October to mid-February some of the world’s biggest mammals visit the coast outside the North Norwegian coast to feed on herrings. The most common whale species are the humpback whale, killer whale (orca), harbour porpoise, and sometimes even the fin whale. After breakfast this morning, you’ll depart on your fjord & whale safari.
Afterward, you’ll enjoy an evening fat biking trip along dog sledding trails and our prepared fat bike trails. Flow and fun on this super cool tour combining the most amazing experiences with the best photos!

DAY 4: SNOWMOBILE SAFARI OR SPA AND IGLOO HOTEL
Today the choice is yours! Still up for a little adventure? Embark on a snowmobile safari with an experienced guide. Tired of activities? Relax in the sauna spa at the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel.
This evening, you’ll have a change of scenery for your last night, with a say at the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel. Explore the contrast between staying in the cold, and while a cozy sleeping bag that keeps you nice and warm during the night! The perfect place for the adventure seeker as well as the ones longing for calmness and serenity.
Before you tuck in, enjoy a tasty four-course dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE DAY
Today is sadly the day we say goodbye to Norway’s magical winter wonderland. If time permits, visit the Northern Lights Cathedral in Alta or shopping in town before heading to the airport for your departure flight. We hope you enjoyed this Norway Winter Explorer Adventure!
