EL SALVADOR SURF Trip & YOGA RETREAT
Join the Surf Sisters on an amazing women-only Surf & Yoga Retreat in beautiful El Salvador!
Back by popular demand, Surf Sister Abroad is offering another 9 Day Surf Retreat to Central America’s best-hidden gem, El Salvador. Steamy rainforest, smoking hot volcanoes, and stunning reef-fringed shorelines, El Salvador, is a god-given playground for the adventurous.
It has become a firm fixture on the international surf scene, but our gorgeous waterfront accommodation is on an isolated beach break. Reliable waves peel elegantly along its 300km Pacific shoreline, and unlike the busy breaks of nearby Costa Rica, the water stays swimsuit-friendly at 25–30°C year-round.
This surf trip is sure to get you stoked on surfing and give you the skills and confidence you need to get into the water on your own. Each day will be complemented by daily yoga practice, classroom sessions, and camaraderie.
Sorry fellas, this trip is only for our intrepid sisters and best suited to beginner/advanced beginner surfers.
Upon arrival at the international airport in San Salvador, we will transfer you to our charming accommodation in San Salvador.
The next morning, we enjoy a 1/2 day guided tour of some of San Salvador’s highlights before transferring to the beach in eastern El Salvador near El Cuco. Our private 4-star accommodation is surrounded by tropic lush forest, sandy beach and volcanic landscape right in front of Punta Mango beach and point break. With an infinity pool, hammocks, delicious fruit beverages, and breezy palapa, Los Mangos is a true tropical paradise retreat.
During our program, you will have the opportunity to participate in daily yoga sessions, progressive surf lessons and training accompanied by 3 delicious meals per day. Enjoy this slice of tropical paradise with the wonderful camaraderie of other like-minded souls.
We start with proper surfing technique, etiquette, equipment and ocean safety, and we leave lots of time each class to hit the surf to practice your new skills. As you progress through the week, experienced Surf Sister coaches will teach you all their secrets with the ultimate goal of riding a “green” peeling wave.
The yoga practice is suitable for all levels of fitness and flexibility.
Each posture has many modifications and you will be supported and encouraged to develop your personal practice according to what is right for your body.
Yoga is optional of course but is included in the package and excellent for flexibility. The yoga classes are meant to complement your surfing lessons and stretch out sore muscles.
Classes are held once or twice a day – sunrise and sunset yoga sessions.
Surf Sister‘s professional certified surf instructors have partnered with Salvadorean surfers to ensure that you have the best experience possible in El Salvador.
Hotel Los Mangos is right in front of the Punta Mango point break. Just walk down the stairs towards the beach and can start paddling!
This is a cobblestone right point break and fun beach break, surrounded by beautiful mountains located in one of El Salvador’s more remote areas.
This is a paradise for those who are looking for warm uncrowded waves, perfect for improving their surf skills! A true little slice of paradise!

Ultimately, we want you to have peace of mind when you come with us. And we’ll do everything we can to secure that. We fully understand that these are uncertain times that we are living in and the picture is constantly and rapidly changing. Please note that you can make a risk-free deposit with us that is fully refundable in most cases (minus the transaction fee of 4%) up to 30 days before departure or postpone at any time for free.
Since most of our trips are custom designed, we’re assessing the options and taking into account where we need to leave things open, remain flexible, or perhaps put two solutions in place. Our partners around the globe are also fully aware of the situation which is why having long-standing business relationships built on trust really works for all sides, just as we saw in early 2020 when we had to postpone/rebook/cancel hundreds of trips.
