This morning depart to Tetouan, a jewel of a town in a striking location at the foot of the Rif Mountains, and just a few kilometres from the sea. Despite seeing relatively few foreign visitors, there’s an air of authenticity here that adds great value to a visit. The ancient medina, a Unesco World Heritage site, looks like it has not changed in several centuries. The city is affectionately called ‘the daughter of Granada’ by the locals.

Explore the charming city with your guide and camera in hand. The Medina is one of the most fascinating and
absorbing in the whole of Morocco, with its shaded alleyways and mosques.

Meals : B/-/-
Overnight : Riad Jasmine

This morning depart to Meknes and visit of this city known as “the Moroccan Versailles” which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismail. Quieter and smaller than its grand neighbour Fez, Meknes feels rather overshadowed and receives fewer visitors than it should. It’s more laid-back with less hassle, yet still has all the winding narrow medina streets and grand buildings that it warrants as an imperial city and one-time home of the Moroccan sultanate. The sightseeing of Meknes will include Bab Mansour, the best preserved gate in Morocco, Hari Souani and the old medina. Independent lunch.

Continuation to Fes via the sacred town of Moulay Idriss Ist. And the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Sitting in the middle of a fertile plain, the ruined Roman city of Volubilis is the best-preserved archaeological site in Morocco. Its most amazing features are its many beautiful mosaics preserved in situ.

Continue to Fez later in the day.

Meals : B/-/-
Overnight : Riad Fes Andalucia
